Is Farhaven close to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon?
A: Yes it is! Farhaven is one of the closer private places to spend the night near Grand Canyon. You can tent camp in Tusayan at campers village or at Mather Campground within the park, but you'll need to bring your own tent. No-reservation camping at Ten X Campground is nearby within the Kaibab National Forest, but you also need to bring your tent.
Can we bring our own tents or RV?
A: Farhaven is an exclusive nightly rental location, so you can only rent the facilities at Farhaven. As a camping destination, the facilities are complete with beds, chairs, stove, lights, a fire pit, and composting toilets close by.
Can we party like rock stars all night long?
A: Farhaven is a place to relax and refresh. We have a quite time policy after 10 pm and before 7 am.
Is there a cell signal at Farhaven?
A: You will be experience true off-grid camping! Farhaven is located in a fault and the cell reception in the Bright Angel Wash is very low. There are spots at Farhaven that receive a single bar, however. We have complimentary WIFI and a satellite phone only at the camp host's location.
What about showers?
A: Right now Farhaven does not have showers available. Mather Campground, in the park, has coin operated showers that are $2.50 (in quarters or a purchased token) for 5 minutes. Be aware that the showers are closed for cleaning for 30 minutes at 9AM, 12PM, 3PM, and 6PM.
What is the weather like at Farhaven?
A: Farhaven is located South of the National Park. The canyon makes it's own weather, so it can be quite unpredictable at times. Using your phone for weather forecasting at the canyon isn't completely accurate, so the best resource for a reliable weather forecast is from the canyon itself:
